Camp Showers and Latrine drawing – design drawings example to upgrade your Showers and Latrines

Hammock CampingThere has been an interest in “hammock sleeping” at camp. To answer a number of questions we had a structural engineer design a multi-person hammock stand.  The stand will support an adults weight, even if all of the hammocks are used by adults.   Stacking hammocks above and below is prohibited. Accordingly, the drawing only shows one level.   Injuries caused as a result of variations in the design shown may result in lawsuits for the council.  Sleep peacefully and enjoy!

Other Resources

Program Quality Evaluation Tool – A plan to help your camp improve the overall program delivery

Camp Facility Evaluation Tool (CFET) –  NCAP FA-701 – Ranger Dave from Sequassen SR, CT Yankee Council Has come up with this nifty little spreadsheet to capture and calculate CFET scores. You enter the names of the evaluators, the facilities evaluated and the A-F score for each. The spreadsheet calculates the weight and assigns a numeric value, then averages all evaluators and tabulates a total for the camp.  THANK YOU Ranger Dave !
