Who Can Earn This Award?
This award can be earned by Cub Scout, Scouts BSA, Venturing, and Sea Scout leaders as well as District Committee members.
How To Get the Award
Obtain a Scouter’s Training Award Progress Record & Application at https://www.scouting.org/training/adult/ . Once the requirements have been met, take your completed document to your local Council Service Center to be processed. Once approved a copy should go back to the unit for purchasing the award.
Supply Item Description & Uniform Placement
The insignia for earning the Scouter’s Training Award is a green knot on a tan background worn over the left pocket, add device for specific program(s) i.e. Cub Scouts, Scouts BSA, Venturing and Sea Scouts. A medal and certificate are also available at an additional cost.
Supply/BIN Item Number
The knots, devices and medals are restricted items. Your unit must present the approved Scouter’s Training Award Record & Application to your local Scout Shop for purchase.
